Jerome Horwath
Voice Actor.
Sound Shaper.
Wildlife Enthusiast.
Hello, I’m Jerome.
I’m a walking, talking, breathing dichotomy — and I love it.
I am a voice actor, a sound engineer, an audio-media specialist, and a shaper of sound. A vessel for your stories told with depth, humor, and real-world grounding — all balanced by introspection, grit, empathy, and warmth.
I am a pragmatic audiophile, and an intentional creative thinker.
Sometimes I’m called Jerome and other times Jerry, but either way my voice carries the texture of a lived-in world – a little raspy, a little rugged, and colorfully expressive drawing you in before you realize.
I’m also a puck guy who loves a good hockey fight. A family man with amazing daughters. A wildlife enthusiast who captures the sound of our natural world.
I love all of it — because the world is a beautiful mess, constantly shifting, constantly growing, and flickering with the curiosity of campfire light.
And so am I.
Let’s make something great together.
I invite you to tell me your story.

How I got Here.
I’m a seasoned audio pro with 30 years of experience in post-audio—starting out on analog gear and syncing tape decks to pulse signals.
Thankfully, those troublesome days of locking picture, aligning tape decks, and real-time laybacks are a thing of the past.
While the mechanics of recording have gotten easier, the fundamentals of capturing great audio and performances remain unchanged.
Pushing the buttons is only part of my job as an audio engineer and longtime owner of Buzz Cutz Audio.
I’ve always seen myself as a liaison between the technical and the creative—guiding producers and talent so that vision and execution meet to create something great. Helping choose music and provide sound design that supports that vision. And, for a time, even acting as an agent to secure the best talent and voice actors. Now, I’ve stepped in front of the mic as a performer myself—something I’ve been doing my whole life anyway.
Along the way, I’ve picked up a lot about marketing, scriptwriting, business growth, and a whole bunch of other things too. Happy accidents put to good use every day.
And while the language and buzzwords have changed over the years, the core of my skills and hard-earned experience still serve the same purpose, which is to help produce something really great.
